Better tracking for marine vessels

Pole Star Global is helping maritime companies improve the way they track vessel routes and activity. Using our maps, they are displaying vessel routes in near real-time, while also showing zone-alerts for dangerous areas that should be avoided. If a vessel enters one of the pre-defined zones, event notifications are automatically triggered via SMA and email alerts.
Fleet management companies can use our Uploads API to stage data and process it into Mapbox Vector Tiles, so it can be visualized on a map. It’s also possible to add data from external sources and create overlays like live weather or sea conditions. Customize every aspect of the map from the underlying map data like labels and administrative boundaries, to the presentation of data at each zoom level, to the style properties of each layer. You can also build in interactivity like animating marine traffic.
