Education resources for a challenging semester
Our refreshed education website is packed with engaging labs and tutorials developed to introduce students to cartography, web mapping, and the Mapbox platform. We’re ready to bring our resources and time to help instructors and students learn to think spatially during a very unusual semester.
Schools everywhere are making huge adjustments to enable classes to go ahead as planned during the pandemic. We understand how challenging it will be to organize schedules, redesign lesson plans, and support effective learning.
We can help by making it easier to bring the latest in map-making into the classroom, virtual or otherwise. We have a new set of teaching resources and are ready to collaborate on guest lectures and student mentorship.
The newly refreshed education page contains lab tutorials designed to introduce students to Mapbox using cartographic concepts such as thematic maps and common spatial analyses such as proximity analysis for web mapping. Additionally, we provide accessible low-code templates and guides for common mapping solutions through our Impact Tools page, including popular solutions like Sheet Mapper and Interactive Storytelling.
Whether teaching in person, using a hybrid model or entirely remote, this semester presents unique challenges for all of us. Get in touch to talk about how Mapbox can support your classroom needs this fall.
