Mapbox is opening an office in Detroit! We have a new space in the Techstars Mobility Ford Field offices, located in Detroit’s thriving tech innovation corridor.
Detroit is the heart of our mobility work around Mapbox Drive and this new space establishes an important presence for us as we expand our collaboration with the auto industry.
We’re huge fans of Techstars Mobility and its mission to connect the automotive and startup worlds by breaking down silos and building partnerships across the industry. The program is operating at the intersection of Detroit’s two biggest strengths, its automotive dominance and entrepreneurial resurgence.
We first met Ted Serbinski, Managing Director at Techstars Mobility, over a decade ago while working in the DC open source space. We’re thrilled to get to collaborate with him again, and we’re excited to meet everyone else at Techstars. Beyond sharing work space, we’ll also be mentoring Techstars companies, like Spatial and HAAS.
We can’t wait to get mapping in Detroit among Techstars’ energy and mobility knowledge.
